Our outdoor chapel is a holy ground for anyone who has spent some time with us.  It's on a higher level of our property, in a spot where some trees have been cleared out and a cross has been placed.  Each summer hike the participants put a rock at the base of the cross to add to the altar.  Behind the cross is a view of the mountains where our hikes travel.  During the last night of the retreat of our summer hikes, we have a communion service there to spiritually prepare us for the week.
