From I-81 in Virginia
This road is "White Top Road"
Follow this road - it will change names, but don't
worry When you start seeing houses again, the next turn is coming up Take a left onto "Laurel Valley Road," also called 603
(This turn is about 11 miles from I-81,
and will be just before two stores on your left: Weaver's Grocery
and the bright blue Laurel Valley Cafe)
From Boone, NC Take 421 about 23 miles north to Mountain City Take a right on 91 in Mountain City Drive about 11 miles or so (should take you about 20-30 minutes, the roads are windy) Just before you reach Damascus, take a right on Hwy 58 (at this point 91 bears left and you’ll shortly enter the small town of Damascus if you miss 58) After about 9 miles on 58, you'll see 58 turn off to the right - continue on the main road ("Konnarock Road") for 2-3 more miles Bear left to stay on the main road and go past 2 small stores on your right, the first of which is bright blue Take the next right onto 603 ("Laurel Valley Road") Our sign (gray rock looking) will be on your left shortly (about .2 mile) Drive on up to our lodge!
Pick up I-77 North and continue for 10 miles Take Exit 83 onto US-21 Bypass toward Roaring Gap / Sparta Continue for about 30 miles as the Bypass turns into US-21 Briefly merge with 221, and then take a right onto NC-93 Cross into Virginia Turn left onto Hwy 58 Follow this road for about 12 miles; it will become Hwy 16 North (You'll pass a gas station and restaurant called "Ona's," a good last gas stop) Take a left onto "Fairwood Road" (also called 603) by a small restaurant
Continue on 603 about 10 miles, passing
Grindstone Campground on your left (If you miss our sign, you will come to a T stop in about .2 mile; just turn around and look on your left!) C'mon in and head on up to our Lodge! From the Asheville Area
