Dan works out of the Waynesville Office and along the road year-round to coordinate all programming ministries throughout the year. As the Program Director, Dan can answer questions about Wilderness Trail's story, availability, ministry programming, staffing and logistics behind Wilderness Trail’s spring, summer, fall and winter events.

Dan hails from Waynesville, NC where First United Methodist is his home church.  He earned a B.A. in French minoring in Christianity & Culture at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in May 2007 and earned his Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary in 2010, enjoying a focus in ministry with youth. 

Dan first hiked with Wilderness Trail as a rising eighth grader in 1998, started as Summer Staff and Worship Leader in 2004, was Assistant Director in 2007, and served as the Summer Director from 2008 thru 2010. Dan enjoys folk music, clogging, and a good bowl of ice cream.
