Waynesville Office / Alisa Tripolino, Executive Director

Alisa Tripolino works out of Waynesville, NC year-round.  As the Executive Director, she handles fundraising, development, and administration.  The Waynesville Office is the primary mailing address for Wilderness Trail; if in doubt about where to write or call, dial up Waynesville and Alisa can direct you to the right place.  Typically our Waynesville Office hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, although these hours change depending on our events and Alisa's travel schedule.

Junior Staff are volunteers ages 15 and up with at least 3 years' prior experience at Wilderness Trail.  As the Assistant Summer Director, Mary Jeanne oversees our Junior Staff program.

From Mary Brown...

As of June 1, I'm leaving my professional role with Wilderness Trail to pastor a United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC.  I've already told my new church that they are getting a much better pastor thanks to my years with Wilderness Trail, where I've learned how to fundraise, organize, track finances, work with volunteers, preach, and many more things including - most importantly - how to be a servant leader.  Wilderness Trail has shaped my life and ministry, and will continue to do so.  I can't wait to bring my own group of hikers to a WT event! 

I've also been blessed to make many wonderful friends through this ministry, and although I won't be at every event like I used to, I'm already looking forward to reuniting on a rocker on the front porch - but next time, as a participant.  ;)
